"500 legs walking for Mast Cell Action"

–First and foremost, please try and get as many humans as possible to join you, and to generate their own sponsorship.-if we could organise 15 walks, each involving 10 walkers, that would be 300 legs right away!

What kind of walks and walkers?

–it could be round a park, along a river or canal, through the country or laps of school playing fields

–it could be family groups, bunches of friends, classes at school…. the latter would be great: imagine all the legs!

What do you need to do?

–Be enthusiastic and sign up as soon as you can! Please send in your name and any thoughts about your event if you have them, to Helen who will be masterminding things within the charity. We will post progress on the website and Facebook.

–Plan your walk in terms of what & where, and start recruiting walkers as well as sponsors during September

- Set up your own fundraiser page under the 500legs event on BTMydonate, you will see there is the feature to set up your own page, with pictures etc

–(A number of people have suggested that they could approach schools at the beginning of the new term and get them to involve their kids-this would clearly be absolutely brilliant: two or three school participations would make a huge difference)

–Do your walking during October while the weather is good and before the time change at the end of the month

Please get out there and walk with us!
