Share your story
Every experience of MCAS is different, and every story matters. By sharing your story, you can help others feel less alone, raise awareness of the realities of living with MCAS and help people better understand the challenges our community faces.
We may use community stories to support our awareness work, resources, fundraising and campaigns, and to help healthcare professionals, decision-makers and the wider public understand why better recognition, care and support for MCAS are so important. You can share as much or as little as feels right for you, and we will always respect how you would like your story to be used. Volunteer
Our volunteers are at the heart of Mast Cell Action, giving their time, skills and experience to help us make a real difference for people affected by MCAS. There are lots of ways to get involved. You could support members of our community, help behind the scenes, share professional expertise, support our events and projects, or use your own skills and experience to strengthen our work.
Whether you can give a little time or want to take on a more regular role, volunteering is a chance to meet others, develop skills, contribute to something that matters and become part of a community working together for better understanding, support and care. Read more about volunteering here.
Raise awareness
Help us make MCAS better understood. Awareness of MCAS is growing, but too many people still struggle to find understanding, recognition and appropriate support. By helping us raise awareness, you can play a part in changing that. There are lots of ways to get involved – from sharing trusted information and talking about MCAS in your community, workplace or school, to supporting our campaigns and helping us reach healthcare professionals and decision-makers. We are also keen to support presentations, webinars, conferences and other events that can help improve understanding of MCAS. If you are organising an event or would like Mast Cell Action to speak to your organisation, please get in touch to discuss how we might be able to help.
Unity Lottery
Play for £1 a week, support Mast Cell Action and be in with a chance of winning a prize. Mast Cell Action is part of the Unity Lottery, a weekly charity lottery that gives you the chance to win while helping fund our work supporting people affected by MCAS. Each entry costs just £1, and at least 50p from every £1 you play comes directly to Mast Cell Action. The remainder is used by Unity to fund prizes and administer the lottery.
By taking part, you’ll be providing regular support that helps us continue to offer trusted information and support, bring our community together, raise awareness and improve understanding of MCAS. Find out more and sign up here.
